FYI Dallas — Issue #4: The DFW Funding Playbook
FYI Dallas | Issue #4
We've covered why DFW home services is a wealth-building opportunity, and how to buy a business here. Today — how to fund it.
The DFW Funding Playbook
Most people think there's only one way to fund a business move: walk into a bank, hand over two years of tax returns, and hope for approval. That's the slow, painful way — and it's not even the most effective one.
Here's what's actually available right now for DFW business owners and investors:
Business credit stacking. Multiple business credit lines, stacked strategically, can get you $25K–$250K+ without touching your personal credit or giving up equity. This is 0% interest for 12–18 months on many cards if structured correctly.
SBA loans. Slower, but larger amounts available — good fit for acquisitions in the $300K+ range where seller financing alone won't cover it.
Seller financing. When buying a business, the seller often finances part of the deal themselves. This reduces the cash you need upfront and aligns the seller's interest with a smooth transition.
Revenue-based funding. For businesses with consistent revenue, funding based on monthly receivables — no equity given up, repaid as a percentage of revenue.
The mistake most people make: they only know about one of these options, usually the slowest one. The move is knowing which lever to pull for your specific situation — and stacking multiple sources when it makes sense.
If you're trying to fund an acquisition, a home service business scale-up, or just need working capital — this is exactly what we help DFW business owners do.
